Description
The Wonder Sofa is a contemporary reinterpretation of 1970s lounge furniture by Space Copenhagen for GUBI. Its designers have updated the informal, generous and playful character of the original modular sofa with an elegant and simple frame. The Wonder Sofa brings a sense of relaxation and accessibility to a hotel or lobby, or a touch of sophistication to a private residence. The infinite combinations of the 3 modules of the Wonder Sofa allow it to adapt to users' changing needs. As a stand-alone piece, in a group, back to back, side by side or in a row, the Wonder Sofa impresses with its distinctive design from every angle. The cushions on the Wonder Sofa fold gently over the clean, square lines of the backrest and are secured by hidden magnets. This softens the relationship between front and rear and creates a sense of sophistication and relaxed comfort in which playful exuberance meets measured simplicity.

SPACE COPENHAGEN
Space Copenhagen is a Danish multidisciplinary design studio founded in 2005 by Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou. They work at the crossroads of disciplines, from furniture and lighting to art installations, interior design for private homes, hotels and restaurants around the world, and art direction. Their ambition is to blaze new trails by balancing opposites: classic and modern, industrial and organic, light and shade, duality and contrast. They call their approach Poetic Modernism. The principles of functionality, slow design and the study of human behaviour guide their work. The result is quality and longevity. Their various collaborations with Fredericia, AndTradition, Gubi and Mater demonstrate their ability to break with codes and constantly renew themselves. The Swoon armchair is one of their iconic creations. The use of soft colours and natural materials such as wood, stone, leather and brass develop a patina over time and lend a certain charm to objects.

Created by Lisbeth and Olsen Gubi, the brand Gubi is a Danish company that has been re-editing some of the greatest design classics since 1967. Based in the docks of Copenhagen, the Gubi headquarters spans 2000 square meters in a former tobacco factory, now renovated into a vast modern loft-style showroom. One of the iconic pieces of the Gubi brand is the Pacha armchair. This armchair by Pierre Paulin embodies the innovative spirit and timeless elegance of Gubi. The Gubi chairs are renowned for their innovative design and exceptional comfort, seamlessly blending contemporary aesthetics with functionality.
