Description

The suspension Bestlite BL9 edited Gubi is available in four sizes and numerous finishes. It was designed in 1930 by the British designer Robert Dudley Best, influenced by the Bauhaus. The Bestlite lamp was first adopted by Royal Air Force garages and technical services because of its great functionality. Public demand for Bestlite lamps soon followed and, when Winston Churchill personally chose the Bestlite BL1 table lamp for his office, the iconic status of Bestlite was achieved. This contemporary classic is now part of the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London. With its great heritage and contemporary look, the suspension BL9 is a coveted design the world over. Showcasing the simple yet classic lampshade characteristic of the entire collection, the suspension BL9 edited by Gubi emits a direct light perfectly suited to kitchens and dining rooms, in all interior styles.
