Rug FORNASETTI SERRATURA White CC-TAPIS

Between mystery and visual illusion, the Fornasetti Serratura carpet, produced by CC-Tapis, stages the iconic face of Lina Cavalieri through the graphic outline of a keyhole. Only a fragment of the face appears, as if glimpsed discreetly through a secret opening, creating an intriguing and poetic composition. This emblematic motif plays with the notions of unveiling and concealment, recurring themes in the universe of Piero Fornasetti. The contrast between the darkness of the lock and the delicacy of the face accentuates the theatrical and symbolic dimension of the composition, transforming the carpet into a true visual scene. Entirely handcrafted in India, the Serratura rug is made using a jacquard technique from a blend of wool and linen from New Zealand. This know-how makes it possible to weave patterns directly into the material in order to obtain a surface rich in relief, depth and texture. Through this creation, CC-Tapis and Fornasetti combine textile craftsmanship and iconic visual language to give rise to an elegant, enigmatic and timeless decorative piece.
