Produced by Hay, The Colour Collection is a collection of high quality, colourful rugs made from New Zealand wool. Designers Scholten & Baijing have created visual transparency by using colour gradations, while the geometric structure of these rugs ensures they stand out. The six rugs from this collection each have their own character and range of colours for a real eye-catching effect in your living room or bedroom. Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings were awarded designers of the year in 2011 by Wallpaper magazine for their work with minimalist forms, and particularly with attractive colour arrangements.

SCHOLTEN & BAIJINGS
Scholten & Baijings is the design studio of Stefan Scholten (b. 1972) and Carole Baijings (b. 1973), based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Founded in 2000, they design products, furniture, graphics, and exhibitions. They have worked on a wide range of products, including chairs, ceramics, glassware, textiles, carpets, and tableware. They have also worked on concepts for prestigious institutions and brands. Designers Stefan Scholten (1972) and Carole Baijings (1973) move fluidly between the disciplines of art and design, and craft and industrial processes, to create visually arresting works with strong references to the past but rooted in today's world. The finesse, captivating colours, and subtle use of materials in their work have earned them considerable admiration in the international design world. Their work, both independent and commissioned, is collected and exhibited around the world.

Hay draws inspiration from three main areas: art, architecture, and fashion, while paying close attention to the environment and contemporary culture. The Hay chairs, like the brand’s entire furniture collection, perfectly embody this spirit: a sleek and timeless design, combining comfort and functionality with modern and minimalist lines. The Palissade outdoor collection is a must-have from the brand HAY, designed by French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.
