DK3 was one of the first brands to introduce the plank table to the Scandinavian market in 2009. With the aim of taking this design heritage to the next level, DK3 founder Jacob Plejdrup has developed the Ten dining table concept in cooperation with Danish designer Christian Troels in 2019. In 2020, the exclusive design was launched in a coffee table version.
Christian Troels' designs are characterised by a high level of detail and precision craftsmanship that blend perfectly with Jacob Plejdrup's basic design idea: the Ten table collection embodies the natural beauty of wood in a minimalist way, in both dining table and coffee table versions.
The top and legs of Ten are solid wood, but it manages to give a feeling of lightness, underlined by the refined craft details such as the beautiful vertical grooves on the legs and the distinctive tabletop with its organic shapes. The slightly curved shape of the tabletop has no straight lines and, in combination with the sloping edge of the table, it appears that the top is constantly moving, giving the Ten table a unique expression.
