The distinctive name of this object is "G" as in geridon. This G guéridon side table, is the first table edited by the Tolix manufacture, the fruit of Xavier Pauchard's modern vision. Made from pressed sheet metal, it is characterised by its entirely round shape, with a circular top resting on a single conical base. The table G is a design icon, recognisable not only for its aesthetics, but also for the story of its creation. The sheet metal is shaped using a wagon axle salvaged from Autun station, giving it a curved shape. This same method is used by the artisans at the Tolix manufacture to make each piece by hand. Featuring an 80-centimetre diameter top, the table G is ideal for seating up to 4 guests. The high-gloss finishes on this table reveal the precision and care taken in its manufacture, adding a touch of refinement to its timeless allure.
Founded by Xavier Pauchard in 1927, Tolix is an iconic brand that has masterfully combined tradition and innovation for nearly a century. Initially a manufacturer of household items, the Tolix brand quickly distinguished itself in metal furniture production, notably with the famous and timeless A chair, featured in the collections of MoMa and the Centre Pompidou. The Lames Tolix stool, part of the Patio collection, perfectly embodies the brand’s expertise by combining strength and elegance, seamlessly integrating into any contemporary space.
