The pre-owned Steeve sofa, designed by French designer Jean-Marie Massaud for Arper, embodies a refined and understated aesthetic. Conceived as a modular system, it offers great freedom of composition thanks to its various elements — benches, armchairs, corner units, and 2- or 3-seater sofas — allowing the configuration to adapt to any type of space, whether private or professional. Its architectural silhouette, with clean and balanced lines, stands out for the absence of visible seams on the armrests and backrests, enhancing the visual unity and purity of the design. Built on an internal steel structure with elastic webbing for optimal comfort, the pre-owned Steeve sofa features high-density foam padding and removable cushions, providing generous and long-lasting support. The exterior is fully upholstered in fabric. The discreet, slender aluminum or steel base enhances the sense of lightness. Available in a wide range of fabrics and colors, it lends itself to multiple customizations, with monochrome or two-tone versions. In line with eco-design principles, it is fully demountable for easy recycling and maintenance, and it holds GREENGUARD Gold certification for low emissions. Combining comfort, modularity, and minimalist elegance, the pre-owned Steeve sofa by Arper stands out as a contemporary piece designed to last, perfectly suited to both residential interiors and demanding professional environments.
Born in Toulouse, Jean-Marie Massaud graduated from ENSCI in 1990. From his earliest creations, the designer has worked in a quest for synthesis, reduction and lightness. It covers the different aspects of design, from furniture to industrial products and equipment. In 2000, he created Studio Massaud and extended his activities to architecture and development strategy. He works with clients as varied as B&B Italia, Poliform and MDF, as well as brands such as Lancôme and Renault. Placing people and their natural environment at the heart of his creations, this inventor with no limits adopts a committed and political approach and strives to make each project a life experience and an economic scenario that reconciles desire and responsibility. In the world of furniture, Jean-Marie Massaud collaborated with MDF to create the Flow seating collection. He is also working with the Emu brand on the Heaven collection of outdoor furniture.
