Description
Simple, sturdy and not too cumbersome - the extendable S table by the Gubi brand showcases the mastery of shape and function by designer Marcel Gascoin.
The rectangular tabletop slides to allow the two carefully concealed extensions to be inserted in place, offering options for six, eight or ten guests. The S-Table by Gubi features clean, simple lines, elegant tapered legs, a solid frame and precise craftsmanship, giving it a timeless quality and uncompromising functionality.
Designed in 1951 by Gascoin for the living quarters of the Supreme Allied Power Headquarters in Europe (SHAPE) in France, the ingenious flexibility and discreet elegance that made it popular at the time are equally relevant today.
