Designed by Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee of the architectural firm Johnston Marklee for Knoll, the Pouf Biboni is the natural and indispensable complement to a collection that transposes into domestic space the spatial intelligence specific to architecture. Faithful to the spirit that animates the whole range, it articulates volumes, hollows and curves with the same sensitivity that characterizes the duo’s built projects, delivering an object whose generous silhouette maintains a constant dialogue with the body resting there. In its Solid Sublime Navy finish, it unfolds this deep and sovereign blue that unifies the room with the Biboni armchair, sofa or corner sofa to which it can freely associate, composing sets of absolute chromatic and formal coherence. Soft and supportive at the same time, it welcomes both feet and the whole body, moving with equal ease from the footstool to the booster seat according to the needs of the moment. Its discreet feet set back from the floor visually lighten a piece whose sculptural presence is nevertheless undeniable, giving it that paradoxical lightness which is the signature of the entire collection. An object that is believed to be secondary and which, once in place, reveals how much it was necessary.
