Description
One of the essential characteristics of the Yuh lamp, designed by Gamfratesi is that it is personal. Edited by Louis Poulsen, theYuh Floor lamp is flexible and takes up very little space. It can be rotated, raised and lowered to create light and atmosphere in the area of your choice. The shape of the lampshade is geometrically designed from the movement of the lampshade on the base. The transition from a circular shape at the bottom of the shade to a straight opening at the top gives it its minimalist style. The name Yuh is the phonetic form of "You", the letters corresponding to the sound produced by the voice to say "you". The angle of the shade can be adjusted to optimise light distribution. A narrow opening at the top of the shade provides soft upward ambient lighting.

GAMFRATESI
The GamFratesi studio was founded in 2006 by Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. GamFratesi is part of the latest generation of furniture designers, and together they represent a new interpretation of Danish and international design. GamFratesi's designs draw their creative impetus from the fusion of tradition and renewal, as well as from an experimental approach to materials and techniques. With their respective cultures, they draw their inspiration from Danish furniture and Scandinavian craft traditions, but also from Italy's timeless conceptual and intellectual approach. Thanks to this multi-cultural partnership, GamFratesi creates furniture pieces that reflect tradition while presenting unique stories, symbols and associations, often expressed in a minimalist style. The GamFratesi duo works with some of the biggest names in design, including Gubi, with the Bat collection and the now famous Beetle chair, Hay, with the Silhouette sofa, and also Minotti, Dedon and Fontana Arte.

LOUIS POULSEN
Danish brand Louis Poulsen was founded in 1874, originating from traditional Scandinavian design where form follows function. Louis Poulsen became the owner of the company in 1906 after the death of his uncle, Ludvig R. Poulsen. Louis Poulsen’s approach to architectural development began when he collaborated with one of the world’s leading lighting designers, Poul Henningsen. In 1924, the designer began collaborating with Louis Poulsen lighting; their objective was to take part in the "International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts". In 1925 the collaboration proved successful and the Poul Henningsen lamps won the gold medal. Following this victory, the two men marketed their products in France, England and Denmark.
