Floor Lamp 9602 Pierre Frey special edition GUBI

Originally created by Paavo Tynell for the Hotel Aulanko in Helsinki in 1935 and reissued by Gubi in 2018, the lampadaire 9602 is composed of a coiled rattan stem, base and conical top in polished brass.  In this special edition of the 9202 floor lamp, Gubi brings together two masters of 20th-century design: Finnish lighting designer Paavo Tynell and the famous Parisian textile house Pierre Frey. The result is a dreamlike version of one of Tynell's most iconic designs, reinvented with a vivid, evocative shade. The pleating of the fabric, coupled with the kaleidoscope of colours in the lampshade, creates a magnificent play of light that brings softness and poetry to any space. Originally designed for a dinner service, the fabric's motif, called 'Le Jardin Du Palais', is a dreamlike representation of a fantastic garden, filled with extraordinary flora and fauna.
