Designed by Danish architect and designer Illum Wikkelsø in 1962, the Croissant collection is an elegant and playful take on the traditional Chesterfield sofas and armchairs. For Wikkelsø, a chair should not just be used for sitting upright, but should also be comfortable in any position. So he revisited these classic pieces for a more relaxed audience emerging in the optimism of the 60s. With its characteristic, gourmet Viennese pastry shape, the fauteuil Croissant stands out with a certain sense of humour in any interior.
