Description
Designed in 2009 by the renowned Paola Navone for Baxter, the Chester Moon sofa is the result of a reinterpretation of a classic model. It does indeed draw its roots from the past by taking inspiration from the artisanal techniques of yesteryear, combining them with the latest trends to give the Chester Moon this unique design. This Baxter sofa is remarkable for its apparent balance, which nevertheless balances between the simplicity of its form with its clean lines and the obvious complexity of its finishes.The sofa is made up of a fir tree structure, a wenge-stained beech base and a polyurethane foam and acrylic fibre upholstery. The upholstered leather upholstery is available in various Baxter soft leathers.

Paola NAVONE
Born in Turin and Milanese by adoption Paola Navone is an architect, designer, art director and interior designer. She also enjoys supervising exhibitions and events. A 1973 graduate of Turin Polytechnic, Paola Navone joined the prestigious Italian group Alchimia in 1979, where she worked with Ettore Sottsass and Andrea Branzi. Between 1985 and 1988, Paola Navone worked as a consultant for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, which operated in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Authentic, dreamy and eclectic, Paola Navone combines the colours of the traditional East she loves, with the tastes and forms of a West rich in tradition, open, and on the move. In 1983, Paola Navone received the famous Osaka International Design Award. Today, Paola Navone is artistic director of two companies, Abet Laminati and Gervasoni, and continues to create products for publishers such as Driade, Molteni, or the outdoor furniture brand Emu, for whom she creates the Ivy collection, among other things. Paola Navone has notably directed the creation of Suspension Brass for Gervasoni.
