A detail transformed into volume: this is the matrix of the Goodman project, a modular seating system designed by Rodolfo Dordoni for the Minotti brand. With a very 70s feel, this product pays tribute to the graphic essence of that decade by layering and overlapping signs to reduce the complexity of the elements to a few distinctive features.
Goodman stands out for its quilted topstitching that is inseparable from Minotti's haute couture tailoring, which creates plays of light and shadow on the seat and gives the impression of transverse upholstered padding. Thanks to its elegant little recessed legs in Bronze or Shiny Chrome metal and a matching perimeter frame in the same finishes, the Goodman sofa seems to be suspended above the ground. Comfort and softness merge in a single sofa concept that can be used for both formal use and absolute relaxation.
A unique accessory is the contoured, leather-covered tray which, like a saddle, fits perfectly around the armrest, allowing the seating system to be used in a 360-degree angle and, as the mood takes you, transforming the cushions into a small, functional table that's always close at hand.
With a large number of modules available as well as a wide range of fabrics, Goodman is a complete sofa system that allows you to create a unique composition to suit your space.
Rodolfo Dordoni is a major figure in Italian design. After graduating in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 1979, he set up Dordoni Architects Studio and went on to work with major furniture brands such as Foscarini, Cappellini and Artemide, where he was artistic director, as well as Flos, Moroso, Cassina and, more recently, Coédition. He has also worked closely with Minotti since 1997. Its timeless, modern designs combine aesthetics and comfort. The lines are sober, minimalist and extremely distinctive. The roots of the collaboration between Minotti and Rodolfo Dordoni are long-standing and solid, because the same values are shared by the company and the designer. The designer's inspirations and thoughts come to life, and particular attention is paid to the details, finishes and materials that reveal the unique character of Minotti collections.
