The Daybed Vipp offers an exclusive place to rest or sit and fits perfectly into the living room or an office. The aluminium frame of the Daybed Vipp raises the leather mattress and makes it feel like it's floating. The black leather upholstery of the Daybed Vipp has unique visual features thanks to its natural surface. Colour variations, natural markings and other unique characteristics of leather vary from one product to another.
The story of Vipp began in 1939, in the small Danish town of Randers, when Marie asked her husband Holger Nielsen to create a trash bin for her new hair salon. Holger, a skilled craftsman with a keen sense of aesthetics, wanted to impress his wife and thus put all his talent into creating a pedal bin that was both functional and elegant. The bin, which he named Vipp, was never intended to be sold. However, some of Marie's clients were so impressed by its functionality that they ordered it for their husbands' medical offices and dental clinics.
