The
Butter Sofa is a
modular sofa with a design that is both
sculptural and
comfortable, conceived by renowned
British designer Faye Toogood for the Italian brand
Tacchini. Inspired by a block of Cornish butter shaped by slippery fingers, this sofa is part of the experimental collection
Bread and Butter. Its generously padded, soft, and tactile seat rests on large-scale volumes reminiscent of building blocks, making it
freely reconfigurable. True to the poetic and intuitive approach of the Toogood studio, the Butter Sofa captures a beauty born from the simple gestures of everyday life: “Beauty lies in the little things of daily life, sometimes you don’t need to look beyond the breakfast table to discover new meanings,” says the designer.
