Piero Lissoni

Piero Lissoni graduated from the Milan School of Architecture in 1985. In 1986, he opened his own studio, specializing in industrial design, interior architecture, and graphic design, combining his multiple skills to create projects that are both aesthetic and functional. Early on, he distinguished himself by collaborating with renowned companies in the Italian design world, such as Kartell, for which he handled not only product design but also branding, communication campaigns, and showroom design. These collaborations helped shape his unique approach to design, based on a balance of elegance, simplicity, and functionality.

Today, Piero Lissoni divides his work between architecture and design. He is known for his minimalist style, which favors clean lines and high-quality materials. This approach is reflected in his creations—whether in furniture, interior architecture, or even nautical design—where he applies the same principles of refinement and clarity. Lissoni has designed numerous hotels, villas, and showrooms around the world, leaving his mark on prestigious projects. He is notably the architect of Boffi and Cassina stores in Europe, the United States, and Japan, where his pure and timeless design aligns perfectly with the values of these luxury brands.

His collaboration with Glas Italia, which began in 2004, illustrates Lissoni’s strong influence in glass design. He creates collections for the brand that combine lightness and technical innovation while highlighting the transparency and finesse of the material. As an architect, Lissoni also designed the Glas Italia headquarters in Macherio, an emblematic project showcasing his ability to seamlessly merge architecture and industrial design. His style—decisively sleek and technical—embodies the essence of modern design, where every element is carefully considered to create spaces that are both functional and visually coherent.
