Description
Created in 1969 by Joe Colombo, the Tube Chair is an iconic, modular and flexible armchair. Produced by Cappellini, this armchair is based on a completely original concept: it consists of four hollow cylinders of various sizes, which can be assembled in different ways, thus creating a design piece that reflects the needs and tastes of each individual. The Tube Chair has been updated to incorporate the latest cutting-edge technical advancements, ensuring that all the characteristics of Joe Colombo’s original design remain unchanged. The Cappellini Tube Chair is a seat that sits halfway between a chaise longue and a sofa, serving both as a design object and an authentic reflection of a lifestyle. This design classic thus defies the test of time thanks to its iconic and modular appearance. The Tube Chair is part of the permanent collection of the Triennale in Milan, the MoMA and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
