Varjo is a collection of contemporary rugs, produced by Muuto and made from New Zealand wool. The series is inspired by old floors with a herringbone pattern. Designer Tina Ratzer plays with this pattern and modernises it by using it on strips of different widths. The Varjo rug is composed of several layers of colour to give it more character. From a distance, three strips of colour can be distinguished, and it is only when you get closer that the different shades that make up the weave appear. The Varjo rug by Muuto, which means shadow in Finnish, is available in several colours and fits easily into any interior, adding character with its simple yet unique pattern.
