Cecilie Manz has created for Fritz Hansen a collection of high-quality rugs that bring colour and softness to any interior. Handmade from wool, these rugs are distinguished by their simple, graphic designs. The different heights of tufting make each carpet subtly three-dimensional and intriguingly tactile. Cecilie Manz's carpets find their place everywhere in the home, whether in a living room, hallway or children's bedroom.
Cecilie Manz was born in 1972 in Odsherred, Denmark. From an early age, she forged her aesthetic sense in the ceramics studio of her parents, both artists.Her career began in 1992 with academic training at the Danish Design University, Danmark Designskole, where she specialised in furniture and everyday objects.After graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - The School of Design in 1997 with further studies at Helsinki University of Art and Design,Cecilie Manz founded her own studio in Copenhagen in 1998. Cecilie Manz Studio designs furniture, tableware, lighting and electronics and collaborates with renowned manufacturers such as Bang & Olufsens B&O Play, Fritz Hansen, Fredericia Furniture. As well as working with industrial manufactured products, experimental and more sculptural prototypes are an important part of his work and approach.Products signed Cecilie Manz are shown around the world and in various permanent exhibitions, such as at MoMa (New York) and the Designmuseum Danmark. It has also won a number of prestigious awards for its strong conceptual design (Thorvald Bindesbøll Medal 2011 (Denmark), Bruno Mathsson Prize 2009 (Sweden)).

Founded in 1872 in Denmark by the Danish carpenter Fritz Hansen, the brand of Scandinavian furniture Fritz Hansen produces designer furniture, contemporary chairs, iconic armchairs, dining tables and designer lighting that are now international benchmarks. He and his son established the quality standards that still apply at Fritz Hansen today. As in 1872, Fritz Hansen’s work remains guided by the philosophy that a single well-designed piece of furniture can transform a room and enhance the well-being of its owners
