Børge Mogensen designed the BM1160 Hunting table for a furniture exhibition in Copenhagen in 1950. The table combines excellent woodwork with elegant metal reinforcing bars, creating a bold, organic whole.
Edited by Carl Hansen, the Hunting table has a narrow top, making it suitable for small spaces, while allowing for greater conviviality. What's more, the table is designed for frequent use, with rounded corners and solid wood edges, perfectly representing Mogensen's passion for democratic, accessible design. Stability is ensured by two metal reinforcement bars, attractively linking the top to the structure. The contrasting wood fittings add to the overall elegance of the table and accentuate its handcrafted expression.
