Description
La suspension Tonda de Foscarini offre un éclairage doux et diffus. Cette pièce sculpturale est fabriquée en verre opalin soufflé à la bouche, présentant une transition de blanc transparent en haut à transparent en bas. La maîtrise du verrier est essentielle pour capturer la combinaison exacte de blanc et de transparence afin d'obtenir la nuance recherchée. La sphère de la suspension Tonda repose librement sur une structure métallique décalée, composée d'une tige d'acier brossé et poli à la main, revêtue d'une finition brillante en poudre. Le câble en acier qui soutient la suspension Tonda est fixé à l'extrémité du cadre. La suspension Tonda crée un jeu sophistiqué d'équilibre et de mouvement entre la sphère en verre soufflé à la bouche, aux nuances ombrées, et son support métallique qui l'entoure sans l'enfermer.

Ferruccio LAVIANI
Born in Cremona, Italy, in 1960, Ferruccio Laviani graduated in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic. Ferruccio Laviani began his career working for designer Michele De Lucchi, before opening his own studio in 1991. At the same time, he also became artistic director of Kartell, a brand for which he designed the Bourgie, Take and Cindy lamps, each of which has become a classic for the Italian manufacturer. He works with other major brands such as Foscarini, Moroso and Flos to create retail spaces. He also organised the exhibition "Technique Discrètes: le design du mobilier italien 1980-1990" at the Louvre in Paris. Art director, industrial designer and space designer, Ferruccio Laviani is one of the most popular contemporary designers today.

FOSCARINI
Foscarini was founded in 1981 in Venice. Foscarini has been producing lighting and exploring the possibilities and qualities of Murano glass since 1981, most of its design have gone on to become classics. For Foscarini, each project requires a new supplier in order to best meet the customer's requirements. Freedom of production advocated by Foscarini inspired two of the company's designers, Carlo Urbinatti and Alessancro Vecchiato, to use other materials. This strategy results in a wealth of inspirations, raw materials and technological innovations. Foscarini's concepts, shapes and materials illuminate and transform the offerings and initiatives of international designers
