The Terho lighting collection was designed by designer Maija Puoskari for the Mater brand. Inspired by nature, Terho means 'acorn' in Finnish and refers to the organic form found in nature. The softness and beauty of the shape combined with the glass make it both contemporary and timeless. The Terho collection consists of three sizes of pendant lamps that come in two finishes: black with a smoked diffuser or natural with opaline white glass. The wood used is FSC-certified, sourced from responsible European forests, while the glass is mouth-blown in Poland. Terho is a durable luminaire for both private and public use.
Founded in Copenhagen in 2006, Mater was created with the aim of becoming a pioneering design brand focused on sustainability. The brand combines sustainability and circular production by utilizing waste materials and creating timeless designs through collaborations with both established and emerging talents.
