The Moon pendant collection by Davide Groppi celebrates light as a poetic substance. Inspired by lunar glow, each pendant takes the form of a suspended sphere made of Japanese paper, diffusing a soft and ambient radiance—like a fragment of moonlight captured indoors. Its subtly irregular, almost textured surface enhances the perception of light and gives it a sense of natural authenticity. Hung alone or in clusters, the Moon pendants create a contemplative, hushed atmosphere, transforming a ceiling into a celestial landscape. Equally suited to private interiors and public spaces—restaurants, hotels, galleries—the Moon pendants transcend mere function, becoming sensitive presences that reshape a room through the quiet intensity of their light.

It all started in a small laboratory in the historic center of the Italian city of Piacenza in the late 1980s. Davide Groppi invented and produced his first lamps and simply decided to use his own name for the company. Simplicity, weightlessness, emotion, and creative invention are the fundamental components of each lamp or lighting project designed by Davide Groppi. His creations stem from the need to bring something necessary or important to life.
