Edited by Lumina, DOT is a minimalist suspension that looks like a floating disc of light. This is an assembly of two parallel discs connected by a metal rod. The reflector has a super 'matt' white finish, while the smaller disc contains a ring of LEDs that reflect light back to the larger reflector disc. A custom-designed heat pipe transfers the heat from the light source to the heat sink hidden in the reflector. Dot presents an innovative approach to lens technology and heat dissipation. Above a dining table or bar, the suspension Dot can be used on its own or as a composition of several elements.

Founded in 1973, Lumina produces authentic, minimalist and must-have desk lamps. Tommaso Cimini created the Daphine lamp, which is now displayed in museums around the world. Lumina collaborated with renowned designers such as Walter Monici and Riccardo Blumer to produce designer lighting combining creativity and craftsmanship. Ettore Cimini took over Lumina in 2008 following his father's death, and gave a new impetus to the Lumina brand, fusing tradition with new industrial processes.
