The Saarinen table is a solution devised by Eero Saarinen, against the "ugly, confusing and troubled world". With its tulip-like shape, softening and embellishing interiors, its silhouette is instantly recognisable, and is therefore considered a design classic. The top of the Saarinen table is characterised by a bevelled edge that accentuates its lightness, whatever its size. The frame is made of cast aluminium and has a Rilsan surface coating.
