Characterised by clean lines and a slender shape, the Roger bed by Minotti echoes the concept of the sofa system of the same name, both in its ethereal effect and in the haute couture look of the quilted headboard with sophisticated horizontal stitching and piping around the entire perimeter. Displaying its multifaceted personality, the Roger bed can be upholstered in any of the fabrics and leathers from the Minotti collection.
The Roger bed stands out for its high-end construction and finish. The slim, suspended platform base is embellished with sophisticated details and folded seams: the leather strips of the structural base, sewn together with ribbons, are made using a technique used in the manufacture of luxury luggage.
The Roger bed by Minotti offers absolute comfort, thanks in particular to the diagonal inclination of the headboard, which is reminiscent of the Roger sofa system and ensures a good reading posture. Raised by 13 cm, Roger rests on extruded aluminium support slats painted in glossy Black Coffee colour and set back from the edge of the bed.
Rodolfo Dordoni is a major figure in Italian design. After graduating in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 1979, he set up Dordoni Architects Studio and went on to work with major furniture brands such as Foscarini, Cappellini and Artemide, where he was artistic director, as well as Flos, Moroso, Cassina and, more recently, Coédition. He has also worked closely with Minotti since 1997. Its timeless, modern designs combine aesthetics and comfort. The lines are sober, minimalist and extremely distinctive. The roots of the collaboration between Minotti and Rodolfo Dordoni are long-standing and solid, because the same values are shared by the company and the designer. The designer's inspirations and thoughts come to life, and particular attention is paid to the details, finishes and materials that reveal the unique character of Minotti collections.
