In 1959, Arne Jacobsen came up with a chair called Gryden - literally
the Pot in English or marmite in French - whose enveloping seat was designed for the famous SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. In reissuing the Pot,
Fritz Hansen wanted to breathe new life into this sculptural creation by the Danish designer. The shape is absolutely identical to the original drawing dating from 1959. Only the materials used have been improved to meet current standards of comfort and resistance over time. This piece is equally at home in familiar domestic environments as it is in a company or hotel lobby.
