The
suspension PH 4/3 is part of the
PH 3 family, whose lampshade principle was imagined by Poul Henningsen during the hectic few months of the winter of 1925-26 for a large exhibition hall in Copenhagen, called the "Forum". The relative size of the lampshades and their positioning were determined according to several criteria: the need to reduce brightness, the provision of light on the lampshades and light distribution requirements, based on some remarkably simple principles. This
PH 4/3 suspension, now edited by the house
Louis Poulsen, is
timeless in its functional simplicity and now-famous silhouette.
PH 4/3 is a
design classic that fits into any space, whether in a dining room, kitchen or restaurant.
