The Illan pendant lamp embodies the meeting of technological innovation and material research that defines the Luceplan house. Its remarkably lightweight body is crafted from extremely thin birch plywood, laser-cut in concentric, equidistant lines. This treatment gives the material an openwork, living texture, where the wood's natural grain reveals a unique character in every piece. Designed by Hungarian designer Zsuzsanna Horvath, Illan takes its name from a Hungarian term evoking something fleeting and ephemeral, an inspiration reflected in the almost suspended lightness of its volume. Once installed on the ceiling, the structure unfolds under its own weight, taking on a sculptural form that seems to float in the air, animated by the slightest ambient movement. Fitted with a dimmable LED source, Illan diffuses a warm, enveloping light that reflects delicately on the wood's surface, creating an atmosphere that is both refined and soothing.
