Description

The Kantarell floor lamp reimagines familiar archetypes through a contoured silhouette and a technical elegance that give it real timeless potential. Designed by Falke Svatun for New Works, it is defined by precision and fluidity.

Its reflector works like an inverted funnel, spreading light outwards from an almost hidden source at its centre. A gentle touch on a seamlessly integrated button switches on the Kantarell floor lamp, making every interaction smooth and pleasant.

With the driver discreetly tucked away at the plug, the design remains remarkably sleek. Fitted with a dimmable 2700 K LED, this aluminium and steel floor lamp by New Works casts a warm glow, making the Kantarell floor lamp a truly distinctive piece.

NEW WORKS

New Works was founded by Nikolaj Meier and Knut Bendik Humlevik with the desire to create a design house where design comes to life with care and intention, and where there is space for creative experimentation—a place for new works. With a small, dedicated team, they set out to curate a collection of elevated yet accessible living objects. Through this lens, they shape the ever-evolving story of New Works. New Works offers a collection positioned at the intersection of old and new. Light and dark. Design and art. The brand’s work pays homage to Scandinavia's strong history of craftsmanship and materiality while challenging today’s contemporary forms.
