Description
Edited by And Tradition, Patch is an extendable table that combines minimalist shapes and user-friendly design. Determined to create a table that suits the needs of modern families, designer Hee Welling made several prototypes before being satisfied with the design. The result is Patch, an extendable dining table, which uses a butterfly extension technique to allow more people to sit. The wooden base is topped with a smooth laminate board. The table's softly shaped Patch And Tradition legs and rounded top corners add subtle design detail, as do the metal pieces on each leg that hold them securely together. As attractive as it is functional, the Patch table is available in two sizes: 180 x 90 cm or 240 x 100 cm, both extendable by 100 cm.

Hee WELLING
Hee Welling was born in 1974, studied at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and holds a master's degree in furniture design from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He set up his studio in Copenhagen in 2003 and now works in the fields of furniture, interiors, lighting and industrial design. The studio works with leading national and international manufacturers. Its products have been exhibited at fairs and museums around the world. Hee has won numerous awards, including the BoBedre design prize (Denmark) and the Good Design Award (USA). He also features in the list of the most popular designers. Hee Welling products have been used in a variety of interiors around the world, including the Oslo Opera House, the Australian Parliament, Amazon headquarters, Danish national television, the Astrup Fearnley Museum, Beats by Dre headquarters and the Danish Parliament. In addition to his own studio, he is also a partner in the Welling / Ludvik design studio, alongside Icelandic designer Gudmundur Ludvik. The collaboration began in 2010, and since then the duo have created industrial design furniture for a number of national and international brands. Hee Welling's creations are inspired by the tradition of Scandinavian design, expressed in simple, functional and refined lines. Form, function and respect for the environment are all important in his work. In 2004, the Danish brand HAY produced the Hee series, which includes a chair, an armchair and a stool, as well as the famous AAC chair - About A Chair - in 2010.
