A must-have design icon! This FlowerPot VP1 suspension lamp by &Tradition was designed in 1969 by Danish designer Verner Panton, one of the leading figures of 20th-century Scandinavian design. In 1968, the student riots in Paris, Rome and the United States overthrew the old, overly severe values and brought in the "Flower-Power" generation of peace, love and harmony. In the same year, Stanley Kubrick imagined the future, the year 2001, featuring in his film the Panton chair that had become a design classic and man was about to set foot on the moon. In the world of design, a colourful and fun pendant lamp was blooming in restaurants and exhibitions and was soon seen in homes, too. The FlowerPot VP1 lamp, with its two half-spheres facing each other, has become an iconic object of the 70's and its timeless, quality design edited by &Tradition has made it through the decades without getting a wrinkle!
