Minotti, the
Fil Gris armchair draws inspiration from thread — a powerful symbol of continuity. This thread gives the piece both structure and substance: not only does it define the silhouette, but it also supports and envelops the seat.
The material itself makes a strong stylistic statement: a black matte lacquered metal tube. This rigorous choice is softened by decorative rings placed at the corners of the seat, adding contrast to the austerity of the structure.
The quest for harmony between form and function led to the creation of a generously padded seat and an embracing backrest, both crafted with a metal frame and polyurethane foam. The inner cushion, made from thermoformed plastic and polyurethane foam, enhances the backrest's comfort.
The meticulous detailing of the
Fil Gris armchair reflects the exceptional craftsmanship of
Minotti and reinforces the impression of a piece defined by top-tier artisanal production.
