The Roly Poly armchair was designed by Faye Toogood for the brand Driade. A leading figure in contemporary design, Faye Toogood is an avant-garde artist who lives and works in London. The Roly Poly armchair incarnates a meeting between sculpture and furniture, perfectly representing the philosophy of the Driade brand.
The designer works with simple, massive shapes, drawing inspiration from art brut and primitivism. The reassuring curves of this armchair Roly Poly oversize serve a design with a naive, almost childlike style. The soft, curved shapes break away from the very strict, linear environments that make up our everyday lives. This creation exudes positive energy. Its bowl-shaped seat gives it a reassuring, welcoming feel. Made from rotationally moulded polyethylene, the Roly Poly armchairfrom Driade can additionally accommodate a soft cushion for exceptional comfort. The Roly Poly armchair comes in a variety of colours to complement any interior or exterior design.
