Description

Designed in 1997 by Morten Gøttler, the Cuba armchair is a good example of the heritage of Scandinavian design and the balance between clarity of form and function. Published by Carl Hansen, the Cuba armchair has become a true design classic in just two decades. It has a folding base in solid oak, on which cotton straps are woven to form the seat and backrest. This technique provides both comfort and support, as the straps adapt to the contours of the body. This lounge chair is ideal as an additional seat or as a permanent fixture in the living room. The Cuba armchair is lightweight and foldable, making it easy to transport and store. As well as being functional, it has all the elegance of a sculpture, with its natural materials and obvious craftsmanship.
