Created by Norwegian designer Andreas Bergsaker for Hay, the Chisel armchair is a contemporary yet timeless interpretation of the classic moulded plywood armchair. Named after the carpentry tool, Chisel - chisel in English - was born out of a desire to create a wooden chair with a distinctive silhouette that would stand the test of time. Developed with great expertise and always with ergonomics in mind, the seat and backrest provide good support and invite you to relax, thanks to their soft, organic lines. The Chisel armchair is completed by sloping legs that echo the chisel reference with its characteristic bevelled edges. The wide variety of wood types, colours and upholstery options, combined with compact proportions, make Chisel an ideal armchair for most domestic interiors or public spaces.
