Designed by Jean-Marie Massaud for Dedon, the second-hand Dean armchair stands out with its sleek, aerodynamic lines and a design inspired by the nautical world. Its black steel frame supports a grey and white technical fabric cover, specially crafted to withstand outdoor conditions while maintaining contemporary elegance. With its low seat and graphic silhouette, the second-hand Dean armchair easily finds its place on a terrace, in a garden, or within a lounge area. Its generous comfort and refined shape make it a true design piece, both functional and aesthetic. Designed to endure the seasons without losing its appeal, the Dean armchair by Dedon embodies the perfect balance of durability, modernity, and style.
Born in Toronto in 1977, Oki Sato is the head of the famous Nendo design studio. After studying architecture at Waseda University in Tokyo, he founded the Japanese studio in 2002. Nendo means "modelling clay" and represents flexibility and the possibility of perpetual reinvention. In 2005, a second studio was opened in Milan. Oki Sato's philosophy is to create little 'Wow' moments in everyday life. His desire to convey the way people interact with objects is reflected in minimalist forms with a singular character. "With our creations, we want to add something extra. That little detail that catches the eye and creates an emotion. His work has been exhibited at the MoMa in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. He works with some of the biggest names in design, including Cappellini, De Padova, Moroso and BoConcept. The poetry of his installations contributes to his international reputation. Sobriety is always present in his creations, which are not without a touch of humour. The resulting purity is in keeping with Japanese tradition. Oki Sato took up the challenge of making design accessible to everyone. He was voted Designer of the Year several times, in 2012 by Wallpaper Magazine and Elle Deco, and in 2015 at Maison & Objet.

DEDON
Bobby Dekeyser founded Dedon in 1990. The idea is to create top-of-the-range woven furniture using a sophisticated, aesthetically refined and weather-resistant synthetic fibre, which is revolutionising the exterior furniture market.
Dedon defends his vision: outdoor spaces can and should be furnished with the same attention and luxury as interior spaces. Quality is a recurring theme at DEDON: the quality of its pieces, the quality of its fibres, the quality of its weaves... Hand-woven fibre creates a unique look while ensuring the exceptional quality of Dedon furniture. Dedon collections change the way people live outside and enable people from all over the world to enjoy precious moments outside.
