Designed in 1994, Hermann Czech’s chair marks a turning point in modern furniture towards intimacy and the celebration of memory — a contemporary design that feels rooted in another era. It offers a natural continuity with the Thonet style of the late 19th century. The Czech chair combines the harmony of steam-bent beechwood with pure, abstract lines, enhanced by the variety of available finishes. Solid and durable in appearance, Czech features an upholstered seat. The seat structure, bent from a single piece of wood, is supported by an arched frame that provides stability and strength.
