Lightweight and sculptural, the chaise CH33P by Hans J. Wegner is based on the ideas and shapes that are typical of his best designs. The chair was designed in 1957 for Carl Hansen & Søn, where it was manufactured for ten years. After a pause of around 45 years, production resumed in 2012. The design of CH33P has character and clear organic shapes. The height, depth and angles of the chaise CH33P are carefully defined to suit the occupant and the dimensions of the wood are chosen according to factors deemed necessary by Wegner. The characteristically curved backrest is in pressed veneer with visible round caps. The wooden construction of the Wegner chair has a vibrant look that lends itself to modern interiors. CP33P has an upholstered seat covered in fabric or leather that increases comfort and accentuates its luxurious appearance.
