Description
The CH23 dining chair was designed exclusively by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1950. The pieces he created during this period were not only unique, but also set new standards for modern furniture design with their artistic expression and ergonomics.
Simple at first glance, the chaise CH23 incorporates many refined and sophisticated details, including elegant back caps, a double-weave seat and arched back legs that ensure optimum stability. In 2017 Carl Hansen & Søn gave new life to the CH23, wanting to reintegrate the first iconic pieces into its collection. As always, the design remains faithful to Wegner's original hand-drawn sketches, with all aesthetic and structural components intact.
