Description

The chaise CH26 by Hans J. Wegner was put into production by Carl Hansen & Søn in close collaboration with the Hans J. Wegner design studio and in accordance with Wegner's original working drawing. This piece is part of a series of iconic chairs created by Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn. With this chair, Wegner has translated the shape of the CH22 armchair to create a dining chair, the CH26. However, he never made a model of the chair and it remained unknown to the public for decades. In 2016 - the same year as the reintroduction of the CH22 - Carl Hansen & Søn brought the design of the CH26 to life. The small CH26 armchair is very similar to the lounge version, with its organic shapes, refined back and hand-woven seat.
