Dining Chair CAB 413 Natural CASSINA

Designed by Mario Bellini and published by Cassina, the small Cab 413 armchair embodies a new standard in leather furniture design, often imitated but never equalled. Created in the 70s, Cab has become an emblematic piece in the Cassina "I Contemporanei" (Contemporaries) collection. Like all the pieces in theCab collection, the small Cab 413 chair is pioneering as the first chair in the world to feature a self-supporting leather structure, drawing inspiration from the relationship between skeleton and skin. Its covering is made up of 16 pieces of leather, shaped in 14 manual operations. These cut parts are meticulously assembled after a bevelling process designed to reduce the thickness of the areas to be joined. Next, the lining is delicately fitted over a steel frame, closed with zips, reminiscent of the finish of a tailor's dress. Today, the Cab collection Cassina by Mario Bellini evolves to meet contemporary needs, while retaining the same quality of leatherwork.
