Catifa 46 is a cornerstone of Arper’s identity — a lasting icon that introduced a new design language from the very beginning. Its latest evolutions reflect its continuous ability to adapt to changing needs. Today, Catifa 46 has been reinterpreted with a shell made from 100% recycled plastic, sourced from a blend of post-consumer and post-industrial waste. With this new material, a fresh texture and color palette emerge, inspired by sustainable architecture: exposed, authentic, and naturally textured materials that bring depth and warmth to the shell. More than just a visual experience, it is also tactile. On the back of the shell, subtle shades blend with a unique texture that recalls the original two-tone innovation that first defined Catifa, adding even more character and identity to Catifa (RE) 46.

ARPER
Founded in 1989 by Luigi Feltrin, Arper is an Italian company that produces designer furniture for the home and office. Arper provides interdisciplinary expertise driven by boundary-pushing innovation. In the late 1990s, Arper hit a turning point thanks to its collaboration with Lievore Altherr Molina, a firm that produced a series of new products, such as the Catifa and Cila chairs, and the Leaf collection. Arper's original design has won numerous awards, including the Red Dot Award 2012 and the Interior Innovation Award 2011. Notably, the brand's iconic Catifa chair won the FX International Interior Design Award in 2002 in England.
Arper also collaborates with international designers.
