When the Little Petra chair was first presented in 1938, architect Viggo Boesen had no idea that his small armchair would become such a design gem and would be a forerunner of the Danish modernist movement that followed. And Tradition brings this chair back to life with a version that honours Viggo Boesen's original design. Named after the architect's mother-in-law, Little Petra is a lounge chair that's hard to leave. Extensive work has gone into ensuring the best possible comfort, from the seat to the finish of the upholstery. With its surprisingly compact proportions, the Little Petra chair by And Tradition fits easily into all types of spaces. Originally, Little Petra was a made-to-order chair available exclusively to private clients. With this new production, the chair is now available to a new generation of design lovers around the world. This pre-owned Little Petra chair shows wear marks consistent with normal use. The bouclé fabric upholstery shows slight wear in certain areas, mainly on the seat and backrest, where the bouclé appears occasionally a little flatter. The wooden legs also show some light surface scuffing. These marks remain discreet and affect neither the comfort, nor the stability, nor the overall quality of the pre-owned Little Petra chair.
Since 2010, And Tradition builds a bridge between tradition and modernity by revisiting the history of Danish design. Founded in Copenhagen by Martin Kornbek Hansen, the brand renews with the great masters of the 20th century while accompanying contemporary talents, to offer a design that is sensitive, durable and resolutely current.
