Description
DCW éditions offers GRAS a legendary lamp created in 1921 by Bernard-Albin Gras for industry and design offices.
DCW éditions has indeed decided to give a second life to The GRAAS Lamp N°204 L40, which is astonishing for its ergonomics and the simplicity of its mechanics - no screws, no soldering - which gives it unfailing robustness.
But Bernard-Albin Gras was also one of the first designers of the 20th century: not content with innovation, he added an original functional aesthetic to his creations, particularly in the design of the bases and connecting rods.
Very quickly, Le Corbusier, seduced by the modernity of its design and its quality of use, adopted the lampes GRAS range and incorporated it into his agency as well as into his many projects around the world. The Bold Lamp then enters the legend.
The GRAAS N°204 L 40 lamp has been designed to be perfectly functional used as a headboard reading light. The arm is longer than N°204 to increase its amplitude.
