The demand for Tiptoe products of impeccable quality is rooted in a family heritage spanning three generations of entrepreneurs. In 1947, Henri Bourgeaux, the grandfather of Matthieu Bourgeaux (the founder of Tiptoe), established a company near Chamonix in Haute-Savoie specializing in metal machining, particularly in a process known as "décolletage" (precision turning). The company was later taken over by Matthieu's father and uncle, and more recently by his brother.
