With Palpebra, Ico Parisi has created a playful, mimetic lamp for Cassina. This designer lamp is designed to open and close, mimicking the movement of the eye, thanks to a sophisticated rotation system, which has been miniaturised so that the angle of the light can also be adjusted. For the Palpebra lamp, Cassina has developed a capacitive switch that allows the light intensity to be adjusted in two different ways: by touch for a gradual effect or by light touch.
Founded by Cesare and Umberto Cassina in Meda near Milan in 1927, the Cassina brand is famous for editing the iconic Le Corbusier armchairs, among other exceptional pieces of furniture.
