Designed by Roberto Sironi as part of his ongoing collaboration with Tacchini, the Pietraforma coffee table is located at this rare frontier where design ceases to be solely functional and becomes a sensitive experience, an object that we look at as much as we use it, and which durably transforms the reading of a space. The Orobico marble top, with its deep veining where red, gray and black intertwine in an almost pictorial movement, rests on wooden supports whose grain silently dialogues with the minerality of the stone: two living materials, two temporalities, the same logic of presence. It is precisely in this balance between the organic irregularity of the stage and the architectural essentiality of the legs that lies Sironi’s signature, a thought of controlled contrast, where formal tension becomes a source of contemplation rather than contradiction. La Pietraforma integrates itself with a quiet authority in the most demanding projects: apartments of character, management spaces, lobbies of hotels with strong identity or premium showrooms, it structures a living room without ever weighing it down, looking towards the material and letting the space breathe around it.
