Published by Mater, Ocean is a collection of outdoor furniture made from fishing nets. Originally created in 1955 by the famous Danish couple, Nanna & Joergen Ditzel, the design has been reimagined and re-edited using plastic waste found in the oceans.  Made up of repeating slats and a metal base, the Ocean collection features a lightweight structure designed and tested for outdoor use. This design represents innovative and sustainable thinking, and supports many of the United Nations' sustainable development goals. The Ocean Mater collection includes a chair, a bench, a lounge chair, a coffee table and two dining tables, all available in two colours: black and sand. All the pieces in the Ocean collection can be completely dismantled, allowing each component to be recycled in new production circles.  Variations in finish are possible, due to the use of recycled materials.
